Today is a good day.

Today is a good day. For the first time in three years, and for the first time is what seems like forever, I can enjoy fathers day. Yes, by conventional standards, I am still not a father, so if, you don't follow the "father at conception" conventions, you can consider this my "pre-" fathers day.

For going on four years, Rian and I have been trying to have a baby. This is the first time that fathers day has passed that we have still been pregnant, and to top that off, Thursday we found out that we have a little baby boy coming in November. It was great, getting to see his kidneys, spine, 4-chamber heart, and brain, and then getting to see that still ghost-like face looking at us. Oh, I can't wait. I wish you could pay for baby expediting.

My wife is such a wonderful mother, and I can't wait for her to complete that journey in the delivery room. I know the emotional toll this has taken on me, and I can't imagine what it is like for her, but soon, by the grace of God, we will have finally completed a pregnancy.

Some of you know that this blog has been basically a placeholder for 7 months. The truth is, every time I sat down to blog, it ended up being a gripe fest, and I didn't want to sound like an old bitter man. Now that I have a good post going for my first one, I hope to start doing this a little more often.

To those of you that are fathers, happy day! To those of you that will be someday, blessings for you. The most important thing that any male can do is to successfully father their child, and to set them up to be a success and benefit to the world, rather than a burden.

I hope you had a nice Father's day. Our baby is expected the day after yours so Rian and I have been pregnancy buddies since it happened in February. We celebrated Father to Be Day yesterday. So congratulations on being able to celebrate for the first time. You and Rian will be wonderful parents to your little boy. I can't wait to read your next post and the posts as it gets closer to "the Turkey" making his appearance.

Your wife is amazing . . . but it's nice to see a guy take the time to comment on that, esp. on Father's Day :o)

CONGRATS, Big Daddy!

Great things to blog about now.....just wait for all the new joys after baby boy Moody comes! I loved seeing him look at his mommy the other day! He was a busy, movin' guy!

Almost one year since you've posted! Ah, well, one thing I've learned about ((really)) (good) online writers is that they can take a while to update. The only thing that keeps me from demanding you update your blog pronto is the knowledge that your life is even busier now. Nevertheless... Update? Pretty pwease with puppy dog eyes?

Btw, I'm asking because I'm interested, I care, I think you have talent as a writer, and I want to hear more.
